Coronavirus Measures *** UPDATE 24/03/2020 ***

Following the Prime Minister's speech at 20:30 on the 23/03/2020 we have had to somewhat revise our initial goal to remain fully operational throughout this pandemic.

Whilst we are providing an essential service, it is with a heavy heart that we have to announce that it will be with a skeleton workforce.

We will also be adopting a three day week. From Monday the 30th of March we will be opening from 08:30 to 17:30 Monday to Wednesday for essential repairs.

From that date we will only accept advance bookings for emergency repairs and we will prioritise NHS and key workers.

Motorvation does not encourage any of our valued customers to make any non essential journeys.

We will continue to provide emergency cover on Thursdays and Fridays by appointment only.

We will review this arrangement after three weeks and we will resume normal service as soon as it is safe and wise to do so.

We'd like to wish you all the very best of health and to thank you all for your continued patience and support at this very difficult time.

Coronavirus Measures

In light of the risks brought about by the Covid-19 virus we are introducing measures to protect our customers and staff alike. Many of these measures will impact the way that we normally interact and we ask you all to work with us during this difficult period.

We will do everything we can to minimise risk, inconvenience & remain operational in order to support you with your motoring needs.

1 - Collection & Delivery Customers

We urge all of our customers to allow us to collect and deliver vehicles wherever possible at this time. We are not charging for this service during the outbreak for customers within 8 miles of the garage. Beyond this distance a small fee may be applied depending on location.

  • We will call you the day before your appointment to arrange a collection time.
  • Please observe the notes on vehicle hygiene below.
  • Please leave your locking wheel nut key and service book on the passenger seat (if applicable).
  • Please remove your car key from your keyring before we arrive.
  • We will call you when we arrive at your address and then stand 2m away from your door.
  • We will ask you to place your vehicle key (just the key, no key fobs etc) on your doorstep without handing it to our driver directly.
  • We then ask you to close the door before collecting the key and taking your vehicle to the workshop.
  • Once repairs are complete we will call you to discuss any findings and take payment over the phone.
  • Regretfully we can only accept card payments during this period - cash & cheques will not be accepted.
  • Your vehicle will then be returned and sanitised before posting/leaving your key in a safe place.

2 - Visiting Customers

As much as we love you folks, we need to minimise contact time and maintain a minimum 2 metre gap at all times - it's nothing personal!

We will also be operating a 'one in, one out' policy and ask that only one person enters the reception at a time. If you have kids etc then please let us collect and deliver your vehicle instead - it's just safer for everyone.

  • We will call you the day before your appointment and check information with you.
  • Please observe the notes on vehicle hygiene below.
  • Please remove your car key from your keyring before entering reception.
  • Please place your key on the counter, please don't hand it to the receptionist directly.
  • We will then ask you to leave the premises. Please note that our customer waiting area and loo are regretfully closed throughout this pandemic.
  • On completion of your work we will call you to discuss any findings, take payment over the phone and agree a collection time.
  • Regretfully we can only accept card payments during this period - cash & cheques will not be accepted.
  • Collect your key from reception. Our receptionist will place your key on the counter after sanitising it.
  • Please leave the reception area promptly so that we can make things ready for the next customer - thank you.

3 - Vehicle Hygiene

Please remove all unnecessary items from your vehicle interior/boot & ensure that the interior is physically clean. Our staff will apply seat, floor, steering wheel and gear knob covers to your vehicle before driving it. They will also be wearing single use gloves whilst contacting your vehicle and changing them before contacting any alternative vehicles. On top of these measure we will sanitise all door handles, handbrake lever/buttons etc when entering and leaving your vehicle.

Please ensure that your service book & locking wheel nut key (if applicable) are easily accessible - preferably on the passenger seat.

4 - Courtesy Vehicles

Unfortunately we will not be operating our usual loan car service during this outbreak. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

5 - Customer Waiting Area/WC

Unfortunately these facilities will remain closed throughout this outbreak. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
